Thank you to the Call Committee members for all of their hard work (Nancy Olsen, Carol Krause, Rosamaria Casablanca, Jorge Hernandez, and Barbara Lichneckert).  Here is an update on the Call Committee process:

"The Call Committee has interviewed several great people who were interested in becoming our next pastor. Each would have been an asset to our congregation, but one candidate seems to be an especially good fit. Our next step is to hold an in-person interview to see whether our initial impressions were correct and to make sure this person feels the same about us. That interview will be taking place very soon. Please watch Sunday bulletins and your email for future updates. And, of course, keep praying for us! We do feel guided by the Holy Spirit and want this person to feel truly called by God to be our next pastor. We thank you for your support in this process."

Called to Be Human: Introducing the LiVE Project's 2026-2027

What does it mean to be human?

Adrienne Marie Brown's Emergent Strategy names a principle that's been on my mind: “There is a conversation in the room that only these people at this moment can have. Find it.” What is the conversation the church, at this moment, needs to be having? This year's LiVE Project theme is our answer: Called to Be Human. What kind of people does our world need us to show up as, in light of our life in Jesus?

The homeless, under-resourced, or just plain hungry are all welcome! Anyone in need can get a meal at Central Lutheran Church each Sunday night. Sunday Suppers are at 5:00 pm. These meals are provided by volunteers from  different congregations representing a variety of denominations in Snohomish County.

You are invited to serve in this vital ministry. Volunteers can arrive at 4:30 to help with set up and the meal will be served at 5:00. We stop serving meals at 6:00 and usually can be cleaned up and done by 6:30.   As the saying goes, many hands make light work.
